January 2016 - January 2018 STEM Instructor

I am currently working as an Instructor in the STEM Department of the College of the Marshall Islands on Majuro, Marshall Islands. I am teaching Marine Biology and Environmental Science to prepare students to transfer to a four year university or to enter the workforce with a better understanding and ability to care for the environment and marine resources of their islands. 

January - July 2015 Teaching and Research Assistant, Instructor

As an Instructor at CIEE Bonaire, I led lectures, discussions, and dives for Marine Biology and Ecology of the Southern Caribbean. As a Teaching Assistant, I assisted with Marine Ecology Field Research Methods and co-mentored three undergraduate students on Independent Research projects. As a Research Assistant, I co-led a collaborative research project between staff and students assessing methods of quantifying benthic cover and reef complexity. 

August 2013 - December 2014 Teaching Assistant

As a Teaching Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I  led in-class discussions, gave guest lectures, developed assignments that challenge students to think critically and engage with current research.
